The Hong Kong SAR Government has launched the HK$2 billion “EV Estate Charging Ease Funding Scheme” to subsidize the installation of EV charging infrastructure in existing private residential parking lots, so that EV owners can easily install chargers that meet their personal needs in the parking lots of their homes in the future. It is hoped that the scheme will cover about 60,000 private parking spaces in three years. All applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until the funding for the grant program is exhausted.
